I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to Colorado in 1989. I retired in 2022 after 44 years as a computer programmer. With limited hobbies, including geocaching and being a ham radio enthusiast, I decided to expand my interests by taking hand building classes at the Arvada Center. During a nine-month stay in North Carolina, I began collecting Southern Folk Pottery, particularly Face Jugs, which have greatly influenced my sculpting approach. Additionally, I attended a couple of raku workshops with artists Randy Brodnax and Don Ellis, and I hope to engage in more raku work in the future.
